  • Green Picture/Image on TiVo HD

Afternoon all. I have an HD Tivo unit, model #TCD652160, connected to my Pioneer A/V Rec. I've had it for just about two years, no problems. Recently, I acquired a projector and another A/V rcvr (both used but in good shape, verified before the aquisition).

My problem: after watching a program, if I turn off my rcvr and projector then turn them back on again to watch another program, my channel picture/image is green (loses red and blue completely). This happens if it is connected to either rcvr or directly to the projector; with either of four sets of component cables. The signal from my DVD unit, through the either rcvr or to the projector, is fine. All cable channes are present, just green. If I restart the unit, all three colors are there, but if I wake up the next day, just green. Never had the problem before. At a loss.

***Note: We cannot have this during the NBA Playoffs!!!***

    Can you use HDMI?

Unfortunately, no. I'm confident it works, it has before, but neither my rcvrs nor projector has HDMI (I'm using them until I get the one that I want that does support HDMI).

My guess is that if it's a TiVo problem, it's likely a motherboard issue. We have seen similar issues with composite cables on SD TiVos, but never before on an HD TiVo on component.

I believe there are HDMI to component converters out there, but we don't stock them.
