    HR10-250 Can't get SATA-to-IDE to work

    I'm trying to get a SATA drive put into my HR10-250. I've purchased the SATA-TO-IDE connector + cable from WK. My computer can see the drive and I'm able to load 6.4 onto the drive. When I put it in my TIVO, the lights on the adapter are green at first and then they are green + red. The system does not' boot and I'm stuck at the 'powering up' screen.

    In order to make sure it wasn't the 6.4 software I was using, I loaded the same software, using the same procedure, onto an IDE drive and that worked fine and my Tivo booted. But, when I use the SATA-TO-IDE adapter with my WD 750GB Green Power drive, the Tivo won't boot.

    Am I missing something?

    It's probably a WDIDLE problem - Google around for how to turn that off.
