HUMAX DVD Burning - changed?

I had a Humax 800 and swapped it our for a hi-capacity one from Weaknees. But now the DVD Player I play finished discs on (built in to old Panasonic TV) can't read them. It had worked fine before. Both machines used only DVD-R discs, but now the TV doesn't recoognize it. Would the upgrade change the burning specs?

No, nothing about a high-capacity Humax changes the way the unit burns. You might want to consider a different set of DVDs, or possibly burn some different shows. you might also want to try the burned DVDs in a different player just to see if they work elsewhere.
