I am now on my third Tivo HD box- all have failed within 3 months-same issue-pixelates for a bit-then won't start up-then tic, tic tic-no fan, no lights-dead.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Am I just jinxed?

I run the box on a sophisticated battery back-up supply with multiple other components (apple tv, apple time capsule etc...) that have never failed.

I really like the TIVO (parental controls, ability to set up recording online) but am tired of paying the $49 return fee.

Thinking about checking out my local cable company DVR or waiting on an Apple product
