I have a Hughes SD-DVR40 that began pixillating and skipping, then the green power light went out on the front. Also I had a black screen, could only bring up the DirectTV guide but when I hit select on a channel I got no picture. I did some research on your site and determined that it was bad power supply, so I ordered one and replaced it. Now I have a green power light, but still a black screen, and the same symptoms as before from DirectTV. Called them and they had me re-boot several times to no avail. Could it be my hard drive? I have a Mac so am unable to test it. Hate to have to send unit to you and pay for general repair when I already spent $70 on the power supply...Thanks!
