  • Weird Series 2 behavior, help!

I've got a Pioneer 810h Series 2 which has worked perfectly for years. We just finished our basement and I just recently moved it down there and it's exhibiting some weird behavior. Everything else works just fine except the IR blaster will not change channels. I've tried all the ones in the setup and am about to look up what codes a Scientific Atlanta 3200 uses and try some custom codes. But the weird thing is that this TIVO was hooked up to this cable box for literally years, and all I did was unhook them, move them to the basement, and hook them up again exactly as they were before.

Are you sure the IR blaster is plugged into the right port on the back of the TiVo? The serial port looks just like the IR port . . .
    Been here a long time . . .

100% sure, it's the top port labeled IR. I built an IR tent just to see if anything else was jamming it and it didn't make a difference.

Yes the cable remote that comes with the cable box works perfectly.

You might want to use a video camera to aim at the ir blaster...you can tell whether there is a signal coming from the blaster.
