Hi - I just bought a used 40 hour Series 2 that the previous owner told me he originally bought in `05 and had since been upgraded to 225GB with the dual drive setup. He said it was working fine right up to the time he disconnected it, and that prior to shutting it down, he ran 'Clear and Delete Everything.'
Now it won't boot past the "Welcome! Powering Up.." screen, which, based on reading previous posts and replies, I think may indicate a hard drive issue... Unfortunately, it's got that dual drive configuration.
I figure maybe it's got a loose drive power cord or something like that. I just learned about the whole 'Kickstart' business, so I'm thinking about running a code 54 test on it for starters when I get home.
Does anyone have any pointers for me, or suggestions on what else might be the problem? I'd SURE appreciate it.
Oh, and by the way - WEAKNEES ROCKS!!!
Thanx,
jeffl
