My remote has suddenly stopped working. The TV controls still work (on/off and volume) and the TIVO button still works, but none of the other remote functions work. I have replaced the batteries and have reset the TIVO receiver. When I press a remote control button, the LED on the TIVO receiver blinks. Do you think the problem is with the remote control or with the TIVO receiver?

It could be either. I'd suggest you try resetting the remote. Hold the Tivo button and pause button down until the light glows red....then release the buttons and press 0 on your remote.
If that doesn't work, tell us what model TiVo you have. If your remote has a SAT/TV switch, be sure it's on SAT. -
I reset the remote as you suggested and everything now works.
