I have a DSR704 that is stuck on the gray screen that says Welcome. Powering Up..... I have noticed the passed few weeks that it would freeze and I would have to unplug the machine to make it work. The day before it froze up for good it really did some freaky things, such as when I went to the list to show things recorded it would look like it is where it should be but nothing was there. There is more to it but I cannot remember specifics. Anyway, now it is stuck on the Powering Up screen. The lights are on on the front and the fan is running. I feel pretty certain it is the hard drive but just curious as to what others might think. If it is the power supply would the lights be on in the front and the fan be running. Please help. Thanks. There is no way I am going to the Directv DVR. They are terrible.
