Hi,
I recently fixed a dead (WeaKnees) drive in my HD Tivo by purchasing/installing an external, redundant pair 500 GB set. Since doing so, I observe the following behavior:
Hitting the 'Tivo' button (e.g. going to the home screen) causes the home screen to flash, sometimes un-centered or otherwise distorted, and then go black. Infrequently, it will restore after a few seconds, but most times it is just black. I can navigate up/down to the various options (assuming I remember their placement in the list).
The box is not exhibiting any other problems or odd behavior, display or otherwise. This did not occur prior to switching out the faulty drive, and started immediately with the new one.
