How to access recordings?

Forgive this poor noob... I couldn't think what key words to search for...

I'm guessing that there is a way to access the programs recorded and get them to my PC ? I have the brand new, I think its H22 DirecTV box.

Any words of wisdom or pointers how to do this?

You can only stream them. You cannot get files to your PC. To stream, search online for DIRECTV2PC.

Thanks Jeff.

Is there any sort of real users manual or some such I could read to learn more about this box? I mean, the one that come from DirecTV doesn't explain much - like how to use that SATA connector that's on the back of the unit. I assume that some how I could connect an external drive here and some how put the recordings on that drive?

PS - I have the brand new HR24, not the 22 as I originally posted.

You can dig around online, but basically DirecTV doesn't want the recordings coming off the box in digital format for copyright reasons, so there's really no way to transfer them.
