  • Rebooting --Replaced PSU didn't fix, replaced HD didn't fix

My HDVR2 has been rebooting randomly (sometimes fully restarting sometimes freezing (sometimes video freezes, sometimes screen goes black). Going through the Weaknees diagnosis pages I first suspected power supply. I ordered the power supply several months ago, but didn't install till about a month ago since the reboots weren't too frequent. With the new power supply the reboots still occurred. Decided to order replacement harddrive to replace the first drive replaced on the system.(the original drive lasted 4 years, the first replacement was put in 2 years ago). With the new drive the system seems to reboot even more frequently. What else can be wrong with this thing. I have spent $70 in a power supply that didn't fix the problem and $140 in a harddrive that didn't fix the problem. Is it possible that weaknees sent out a bad power supply? I was a little concerned about the replacement harddrive since it looked like the box had been resealed.

    Thanks for the help

    John

Sure - a bad power supply or hard drive is possible. You could return any part that you ordered within 30 days, and then get our flat fee repair:
