Tivo freezes
I have a Humax Series 2. On some channels, but not all, when I change channels, the picture freezes on the first frame, as though I hit the pause button. htiitng play or pause has no effect. If I then go down a channel and back up, it works normally. This is a real pain because the freeze happens when it tries to record some, but not all, of my scheduled shows, so all I get on the recording is the first frame

Pretty strange. I'd guess that's a hard drive problem, but not having seen exactly that, there's no way to know for sure until we have the unit here.
We're pretty sure we can fix it as part of our flat-fee repair service:
