My husband passed away 4 years ago, and I had saved an interview he had with a news station so I could show my children as they got older (we have 5 under 9). I also had an important interview my son had on a news station. My TiVo would start to boot up, but then would keep starting over in the process and all I continued to see was the start up page. I was told this was a bad hard drive. Is there ANY WAY AT ALL that this can possibly be restored??? I already called the news stations, and they no longer have the interviews. Thank you.

This is a tall order in your situation, given your symptoms, assuming that the problem is drive-related.
We can try to get the data off your drive onto another (which would still have to be played back in your TiVo), see:
http://www.weaknees.com/recovery.php
Alternatively, given the importance of this data, you might consider using Drive Savers. They are experts at rescuing data. You can reach them by calling 800.440.1904. If you give them coupon code DS19576, you will get a 10% discount. Expect to pay at least $1,000 for data recovery, and the data--if recovered--can only be watched on the TiVo that recorded it.
