I received a new hard drive last week from you. I installed it with no problems but when I plugged the HDVR2 in it was stuck on the powering up screen. After several tries it finally booted and worked fine for several days then it froze and I had to reboot and now it can't get past the power up screen. Fan is running, lights are on, and you can hear the new hard drive going so I doubt it's the power supply. Switched out the IDE cable it's still stuck on the power up screen. Any ideas?

Our guess would be that the power supply is flaky and is failing intermittently, but it could be that it's a bad drive.
What was your old drive doing?Been here a long time . . . -
It would reboot every couple of days while it was in the middle of recording and finally would no longer get past the power up screen.Comment

So with two drives with same problem, I think you should try a replacement power supply:
