Sony SVR-2000

Sony SVR-2000
When I plug it in I get a green led in the receive on front panel, HD spins up and heads move, but I have no remote control and the TV screen never displays power up just live TV. I have a new drive which I loaded with Ptv upgrade. If some one could help I would appreciate it.

If you see live TV, you may not be on the right TV input. Are you sure you're seeing the TiVo input?

No useing the rf connections. I have no remote control either. I wil try other outputs

If that's as far as you get, then you've likely got a dead hard drive. Replacements are here.

I just installed another 160G maxtor drive ATA/100 and backed it with ptv upgrade and still nothing. How do I know if it is something other then HD.
