Post drive replacement weirdness

So my Directv Tivo was re-booting itself and freezing up, and eventually got stuck on "Powering Up". Based on the guides here, I got a replacement drive and installed it.

While going through the guided setup with the new drive, it re-booted twice, but eventually everything came back. In the two days since I got it up and running, it has frozen once, and rebooted twice.

Is this a bad power supply? Am I at risk of killing my new drive?

Sounds like it - or flaky power in the building. Have you been having brownouts? If not, you should try a new power supply:
