Philips Tivo Series 1

HI. I am starting out with new drives on a lifetime unit. I first go in under ANT & do the call in. I get to the last part of the call on index shows. My Tivo gets hung up on "failed while indexing daily." It does this every time & I have tried sabout 30 times now. What to do? Please help!

You can no longer use a Series1 with antenna. It cannot process the digital off-air signal, and it can't work with a digital converter box either.

So are you saying that if I have new drives, I would of had to install those drives before tv went digital, early last year? Can I go into cabel instead of ANT for the install??

This has nothing to do with the hard drive on your TiVo. The unit simply will not work with antenna. You'd have to use cable.
