Well yes I did it. I had a glitchy hard drive and thought I would be smart and test it in my PC. OOOPs!!!! I didn't realize that xp would wipe out my boot sector. I have a new hard drive but I need to fix my boot record before I can image it to the new drive. I am very savvy with windows, dos. But I have no experience with linux and am having trouble mounting my hard drive in order to run the maketivobootable program. Please help.

I have figured out how to mount my hard drive but when i try to run MakeTiVoBootable i get--- permission denied. I am about to make a bonfire out of my TiVo. Help please. -
We really don't use that program often, so we aren't too familiar with it, but is is possible that the drive is at HDA and that HDA isn't allowed by the software?Been here a long time . . .Comment
