  • TIVO and Directv dvrs

I want to make sure I only buy the parts i need and fully understand how to put them together (don't we all?!). So here is what I have:

    Directv HR22 HD DVR
    Directv H23-600
    Directv slimline LN5 Dish
    Humax DRT-800 (w/o TIVO subscription)

I currently only use the DRT-800 for a DVD player but my goal is to use it as another hard drive/recording device. Can I do this without the Tivo subscription? I had the subscription but don't want to pay for it and Directv.

If I purchase the SWM8 and RCA DRD435, can I accomplish my goal and/or what am I missing? Thanks, Jeff.

You will need a subscription to the Humax for it to function.

The RCA DRD is not swm-compatible, but you can use it if you connect a line from the legacy ports.

Thanks for your reply. which splitter will I need to hook the 2 dvrs and 2 receivers up? I am confused about the swm.com wiring diagram. Is there a wiring diagram for the equipment that I have?

Nope. When you're using any SWM switch, you don't use the B-band converters.
