    Noise at end of playback

    Just hooked up my new Tivo HDXL. I recorded a few shows today. After watching a few, I noticed something strange. When the show is done playing, I get a funny noise from the unit. I have to hit the tivo button before it pops up the "delete or keep option". On my old series 1, as soon as a show came to an end, I'd get the pop-up asking to delete or save. Did something change??? Is there a way to explain the noise?? Thanks!!!!

    Well, there is usually a bong at the end of a show, but it shouldn't be too weird.

    Have you tried just rebooting the unit?

      No I haven't, but I will. Its not the bong I'm getting. Sounds more like a hum or chatter sound that goes continuosly until I hit Tivo button. Then I get the bong and delet/keep option. Will try to reboot and see what happens. Thanks.

          Rebooting didn't help the issue. However, by turning the sound setting from dolby digital to dolby to pcm, problem solved. Now it seems ok. Also, any idea how to make Glo remote work? Sometimes it comes on, but mostly not. Thanks!

            OK - glad you got one issue resolved.

            Have you looked at TiVo's page about the glo remote backlight?
