I have 2 Tivo's in my home. One is a 540 Series 2 Single Tuner (Silver Case), 40GB. My other unit is a Series 240 2 Single Tuner (Black Case), 40GB. The black unit is stuck on the Welcome... Powering up screen. I have the original 40GB drive from my silver unit because I upgraded it to a 120GB Drive. My question is: Can I take the drive from the silver series 2 and pop it in the black series 2 unit and will it boot properly? If it did I would assume I would have to run the clear everything command in the menu. Thanks for your advice.
