I picked up a used Tivo HD from someone last week (TCD652160), and it seemed to work fine when I hooked up it (using an HDMI cable to my big new Aquos TV). I hadn't ordered cablecards from Comcast yet, but I had just added it to my Tivo account (order was still processing) when I did a Clear and Delete All to get rid of the guy's old recordings.

After that, it just got stuck on the "Almost there" screen. Wouldn't go past it. After awhile, the screen dropped into a paler version of itself, kind of yellowish and sickly purple, but still at Almost there. I left it on for hours, rebooted it a few times, even tried all the kickstarts I could. Nothing.

Anything else I can try before I replace the hard drive?
