Audio Feedback

I'm new to Tivo, and I just connected up a used Tivo (series 2, single tuner). I am getting a crackling feedback sound coming through with the program sound (no feedback in dead air, just coupled with program audio). I have RCA hook-ups, and have tried both the Audio Outputs 1 and 2 with the same result. I have confirmed it's not my reciever, cuz I connected the Tivo directly to my TV speakers with the same result. I've also tried using different cables. Any ideas??

I'd try moving the TiVo to another room to confirm that it's not the unit. It's probably a surge protector, speakers or something else in the room.
