SD-DVR40 Won't Power Up

I have an upgraded (Larger HD from Weakness) SD-DVR40 that does not fully power up. Fans turns on, but no lights or welcome screen. Probably a power issue. I am thinking of getting another SD-DVR40 as the quickest solution and reusing the upgraded hard drive. Is this feasible? or the right path?

You can do that, but you'll have to reserialize the hard drive to the new TiVo after you move it, and to do so will mean your recordings get wiped.

The problem sounds like a bad power supply, and we have them here:
