What is the largest capacity for a TiVo Series 3?
This has probably been answered somewhere on here - but I cannot find it! What is the largest single, internal drive capacity for a HD Series 3 unit? Currently I have a 1TB drive installed - but am bitting my nails to try a 2TB drive :-) Thoughts? Thanks, you guys rock!

1 TB is the largest stable situation available for all but the TiVo HD XL. But you can do a 1 TB internal plus a 1 TB external, for 2 TB total. More info is here:

For a TiVo HD XL, we can now do 2 TB drives:

Thanks, Michael. I think for now, we will stick with the 1 TB drive simply because of the volume of recordings we have on the drive. I was woried that the answer was that we were supposed to have less than 1 TB. This puts my mind at ease.Comment

In fact, no drive smaller than 1 TB will even work in a TiVo HD XL.Been here a long time . . .Comment
