Hello,
I know this issue is explained in other threads but so far none of the solutions have fixed my problem.
As soon as my Tivo boots up and shows the welcome video, about 2 seconds into the video, the Tivo reboots. It does this over and over again.
I called Tivo support and they told me to remove the cable cards and the coax cable and try to reboot it again. I did this and this time instead of the welcome video, it came to the Cable Card screen, but again, stayed on this screen for about 2 seconds before it rebooted again.
Tivo support told me they could replace my Tivo for $150 but I decided to see if I could fix it myself before going that route. Thats when I started scouring the internet. I found out about the Tivo Kickstart options so I started playing with that. I input code 54 to run some hard drive tests. I ran the S.M.A.R.T. Hard Drive test and the drive passed all of the tests. Since it was about 1 o'clock in the morning at this point, I decided to run the "Overnight Test" and go to bed. This is the state I am currently in.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any idea of what it might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know what I'm going to do with out my Tivo... =(
Thanks all!
Aaron
