Guide exceeds screen width

I am having a problem with my HD XL unit. When I am watching an HD channel and I bring up the on-screen programming guide, the display runs off both sides of the screen. So basically I can see the program name, but not the channel it is on because that is outside of the frame on the left side. When watching a non-HD channel, all is fine. I think I have the aspects set properly, but maybe someone has an idea for me.

Sounds like you have your TV set for 4:3 or 16:9 when it should be on the other format.

Been here a long time . . .

Have you tried adjusting the settings on your TV? You can typically shrink or expand the picture to fit the screen, just as you can do with a computer monitor.
