Direct TV Tivo box problems...

I have an old RCA Tivo thats does the following...

1...Powering up.

2...Almost a few more minutes...

Then three....

Click, and then snow.

What's the issue? I tried the "code test", and never got to it, but the Tivo box did recognize the remote buttons being pushed.

Our guess would be, bad hard drive. Hard to know for sure without trying a replacement . . .
