How can I use two hr23 dvr's side by side on one tv with either one remote controlling both or two remotes that are isolated from each other. Thanks, Mike

I carefully followed the directions [many times], now I can only control the second unit off the front panel and the second remote only controls the tv volume and on/off. Please help.. Thanks, MikeComment

It does not matter what position the remote is set to. And this remote has no effect on the unit next to it. Thanks, MikeComment

You should probably try moving the units to different locations to start. Get them working independently, without the remotes conflicting, then move them back together.
Or, just get an RF remote for one of them.Comment

ok, I did that, I still cannot get any remote to control the second dvr, nor can I get the second remote to control anything but the tv, do I need to re-program the unit? Thanks, MikeComment

If you can't get any remote to control the second DVR, then you might have an issue that is not related to the remote itself. Does the second DVR work if you use the same code as the first DVR?Comment
