New Hard Drive, still freezing!

I have a Hughes Sd-dvr40 that was freezing so I replaced it with a White Label Magnetic Data 120gb drive a couple of weeks ago. Now, it's freezing again!!! I copied the old drive to the new one(so I wouldn't loose my shows) via the mfs tools boot cd, a barebones computer and the "Hindsdale how-to" http://www.newreleasesvideo.com/hins...to/index9.html What could be causing the freezing now? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Those white label drives can cause lots of problems, and, since we haven't seen one for years, we'd guess it's very, very old.

Please try a new drive.

Been here a long time . . .
