I've read other posts where the dvr reboots all by itself and mine has started to do that also but in addition the commands that I sent to it will lag quite a lot before it decides react.
I have had my DVR series 3 about 2 1/2 years now using two cable cards without any problems.
Three weeks ago I began to get stuttering but it cleared up when I rebooted the dvr.
A few days ago i noticed considerable lagging with the commands from the remote, I tried using the manual buttons on the dvr but it was just the same.
Yesterday the dvr suddenly rebooted itself, and then today did it 3 more times.

From what I've read in the forums it seems like the hard drive is going out but before I replace it I wanted to see if anyone else has had this same combination of problems.
