  • DIRECTV Guide vs. TiVo Guide?

Got back from vacation and the ol' DVR was acting up. Luckily, now we get a feed from the satellite. However, almost every program in Season Pass and the To Do list comes up as "none scheduled." However, you can see that these programs are there when you hit the Guide button while watching Live TV.

So, for example, to record last night's episode of The Office, I had to hit the Guide button, scroll down and across to the right channel and time slot, and indicate I wanted to record. However, Season Pass indicated that there were no upcoming showings off The Office and you couldn't find The Office (and many other shows) if you searched by title.

Also, strangely, if you search by channel and date, you can't browse through anything between January 8 and January 15...it just jumps right from the first date to the next, skipping the entire week in between...

I had a similar problem prior to leaving for Xmas vacation.

The interesting thing was that each of my 2 DVRs, in separate rooms, didn't have identical program lists on the Guide and they are connected to the same antenna. One list only had 30 programs displayed and the other had the usual complement.

Furthermore, if I typed in the name of a specific show to record I would get the "none scheduled" message but if I typed that same program in as a Wishlist title it would record.

When I returned after Xmas, these problems seemed to have resolved.

Anyone else experience this or have any explanations?

      "None Scheduled" Response

I had the same experience with receiving the "none scheduled" response around Christmastime. It returned to normal a few days later. Then, the hard drive gave out, so I’m not sure if it was my drive or DirecTv that caused it. Odd that it happened around the same time that you experienced it, though.

I POSTED THIS ON ANOTHER THREAD AND I THINK A STICKY HAS BEEN STARTED REGARDING IT. I HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE, ON THE SAME PROGRAM (THE OFFICE) TO BOOT!

Thank God for this site. Just 2 days ago, I ordered an R15 from DirectTV because they had "no idea" why my R10 wasnt handling the season pass properly. I then learned about the R15 and cancelled the order. I found weaknees using Google. I was going to try and replace my harddrive, but at this point I will continue to watch this thread for updates.
BTW, my problem is that I missed the first show of the new season of The Office and discovered that many of my season pass items indicated "No upcoming shows" but when I go to the guide, they are right where they should be. Last night I manually added The Office, then suddenly all season pass items for that week were "found". Now however, the season pass To Do List, shows the programs in the order they will appear, but under the date and time column, it shows, "nothing scheduled" or something like that.

        ETA:
Also the wishlist/search often isnt finding the programs at all. Only the program guide is finding them. (I searched for "The Office" and it wasnt there.
