500G Upgrade

Had a fried 60g in a Tivo brand series 2..
Bought the 500 Gig single upgrade to fix it
All went well, but, 1 hour later still looking at
"Almost there... Just a few more minutes..."

Is this normal time for the drive size, or did something else hit?
It's been so long since I did an initial setup, but an hour?

Update.. 1:17:??
Into Guided setup.. but now the remote is not recognized?

Any info here would be grateful..

Boredom drives initiatives..

I've yanked the batteries from the remote, as it know certain tv fuctions, and replaced with NEW duracells, alas, my trial continues..

On the reboot, of a replace kit, I get the Guided Setup.. WhooHoo...
But have no way of pressing Enter to continue.. Bummed, and growing..

Searching similar probs, and no answers yet..

Sounds like you might have booted with the front panel ribbon cable disconnected or slightly dislodged. This can damage the motherboard. Check the cable, and if you need us to repair it, you can contact us.
