  • Tivo HD and FIOS, video and audio dropouts

I recently switched from DirecTV/HDVR2 to FIOS/Tivo HD. Very randomly, I'm getting video and audio dropouts. (Stuttering video, a audio click/pop) It seems to be only on HD channels and only recorded material. (I never watch live TV, so I don't know if it happens there) The video and audio dropouts seem to happen independent of each other, but it's so random it's difficult to be certain. I also occasionally see random MPEG artifacts, but it doesn't seem to be related to the dropouts.

So, it's either the Tivo or FIOS, but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it any further. I don't want to easter egg this problem, and would love to get my hands on some Tivo logs (as I could with the HDVR2 Tivo) to help isolate the problem.

Given that I have 2 new components, (new Tivo, new TV service), where's the best place to start troubleshooting this?

    TIA,

    Doug
