DVR R10 Remote

I have a DirecTV DVR R10 and live in an RV. My remote used to work well from the bedroom (about 30 feet) bet, is getting increasingly more difficult to use at this distance. I haven't found any specs regarding romote control limitations? Any ideas?

Next, have you tried the obvious (changing the batteries)?

DVR R10 remote

I changed the batteries. I've tried alkaline and rechargable (which I changed daily) and it makes no difference. I moved all of my remotes out of the room, but no change.
