I have a series 2 Sony T60 Tivo which I upgraded to a bigger WeaKneeshard drive a couple of years ago.
Recently it has started buzzing (vibrating). It's so loud that I've had to sit it on four of those air-filled packing pillows (it looks like a Hovercraft), yet it's still too noisy to be much fun.
Apart from that it works 99% of the time, but lately it has occasionally begun to turn itself off and needs to be rebooted.
Additionally, very occasionally it will record a given selected program as just a black screen with no audio. Is it telling me it's had enough?
I bought the Tivo some years ago and paid for its lifetime subscription.
Now I'm considering these problems as maybe a reason to upgrade to an HD Tivo.
Hopefully, there's some way I can make the best out of the rules and deals surrounding this 'opportunity' but I find it all quite confusing.
Can any kind soul steer me through this fog? Oh! I'm also a DirecTV subscriber.
Thanks.
