My Pioneer 810-H has been doing daily downloads since September, but is stuck on version 9.3.01-2-275 and won't update to 9.3.3. Eveerything else is worlking normally as best I can tell. I have rebooted several times and went as far as doing a C&DE, but to no avail. Does this sound like a bad hard drive?

No. Have you called TiVo? They can stage your unit for an update if you ask, and if the sw is available for your model. -
I have called Tivo and they indicated that the latest update is being downloaded nightly, but is not succeeding in being installed. When I reboot, I get the "Powering Up" screens, followed by a screen indicating that a service update is being installed. After about an hour, the system flips to Tivo Central. When I check system information, the version number has not changed which confirms that the update failed.Comment

If that's happening then yes, I think you have a bad drive.Comment

I bought and installed a replacement drive from WK and that solved the problem.Comment
