  • Series 2 that freezes and reboots when i check its network statues

I have a Series2 TCD230040 that i recently updated with WK formatted drive after it was locking up. I have noticed that it still freezes on occasion leaving a frozen image on the screen of what ever it was recording at the time. It doesn't react, i unplug, it reboots fine.

I have also noticed that it is starting to miss updates every couple days via the network. It was worked great for years and has and 100% excellent connection. Now comes the odd part. When i check to see the network status, it sometimes takes a while to pull up the screen. I then back out to view the system info to see the last connection was a couple of days ago, but the the status of the update is still - In Process. If i return back to Network Connect screen, if it doesn't allow my to get in right away to force it to manally connect, the machine reboots before I can get there.

It has been happening more frequently, and i am not sure if it is a powersupply or what? Since the drive from WK is brand new, i am wondering if i am just not getting clean power to the unit. Buying a UPS but i have not seen anyone else with this issue after trolling through the other threads.

Share some thoughts if you have them.

    Thanks

It might actually be your broadband adapter. Try unplugging it and see if you get freeze-ups still.
    Been here a long time . . .
