    hr22 question/help

    Hi,

    I just switched from a hughes tivo, to a hr22 for direct tv. So far not too bad on the interface its NOT tivo thats for sure. My question/help is... With the tivo I can switch from channel to channel and have some buffer to play with <useful for watching two football games at once>. It seems I can do that with hr22. It seems not to have any buffer on the channel that I'm NOT watching unless I record, then I lose buffer on the channel I was watching. So..Do I have to record two programs at once just have some buffer?

    having no suggestions kinda blows too, every now and then I DO watch what the tivo has recorded from suggestions.

    Right - the only way is to be recording each channel. It's pretty amazing that they haven't fixed this after this many years. But next year, the TiVo for DirecTV should be out.

      I'll have to buy the tivo one as soon as it comes out.

        Yup - we can't wait, and we get calls for a status update on the HD TiVo for DirecTV everyday . . . unfortunately, we have no status update at this point.
