    Broke up recording

    I have Phillips DSR-708 w/recently new WK drive. All seems well,but on a recent recording,it split it into 2 separate recordings. 18 min. on 1st part then 52 min on 2nd section,apparently losing about 2 min during switch.It was scheduled as a 1hr 15 min recording. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Sounds like it rebooted during the recording. Could it have been a power failure?

      Could be. It did freeze up and needed to be unplugged a couple of days earlier.

        Did that also happen with the new drive? If so, there may still be problems.

          Yes, it was the new drive. So far, those are the only issues I've had. The original drive would occasionally have fits of pixelation & freeze frame, but not re-boots.

            OK - you should probably email us at [email protected] so we can send you info on sending the drive back here for testing and likely replacement.
            Been here a long time . . .
