I have a Toshiba SD-H400. Awhile back my tivo crashed and I read in some forums that the drive crashed. So I bought a new hard drive bought some tivo software to place on it. Did all of this, but now whenever I watch something recorded or behind life TV (after being paused for a few mins) the playback pauses and glitches even shows pixilation and distorted video. I am assuming it must be the new hard drive but any other suggestions or possibly solutions would be great.

No the prior drive never powered on. I got the gray welcome screen but would never move past that and the system had a kind of brushing sound while trying to run. Now i can watch TV live and when i pause or watch recorded my video lags, pauses, and pixilates. Also the DVD player will not show video or play. It looks like it is trying to spin up but it never does anything.

This new drive I have not owned very long. It was given to me as a brand new drive, I do believe it is bigger capacity then the original (I can not recall the size a this time however). I immediately put the software on it and it immediately messed up. I don't know what could be wrong with it.
