I have a Philips TiVo HDR312 TV receiver purchased in Dec 2000. Upgraded hard drive with Weaknees years ago. Still works great. Just had Verizon FIOS Tv installed--one HD the other just a "plain" box (TiVo's). Installer looked for a card slot, of course none there. He said "no problem" and hooked it up. Of course it doesn't work. If I click on View Live TV, if I don't keep on channel 3 I can't use FIOS. I also can't record with TiVo because it still shows the Comcast channel numbers and if I move off of channel it's all blank. I can still play those shows recorded before this change. I tried the Reset process numerous times but no luck. I can only assume my TiVo is too old or it's hooked up wrong. I think the box is a single tuner and maybe he hooked it up wrong. Any thoughts? Thanks, love my TiVo.

First off, you have to go through guided setup to change from Comcast.
Second, you will only get this TiVo to work if FiOS has a cable box that the TiVo can control
For units that accept Verizon CableCARDs (which is what you want), see:
TiVo for FiOS
