  • SVR-2000 used with camera for playback

I have a SVR-2000 and want to use this with a video camera to record pitching mechanics. I have the remote but it doesn't seem to be letting me record and view at the same time. Does anyone have any suggestions? It keeps telling me I need to subscribe to Tivo....

Generally, those unit should let you record manually without service.

Can you post which exact remote keys your pressing and the details of the error message you get on-screen?
    Been here a long time . . .

      Still need help

I can't get to the point that it will let me hit "record" on the remote. It wants to set an actual time to record.

What exactly happens? Can you see the video you want to record through the TiVo? What happens when you press "record"?

          Nothing....

Nothing happens when I press record. The Tivo acts like it is recording but I can see anything on the screen. Thanks!!!

You probably need to go through setup again and be sure you set it up as using CABLE WITH A CABLE BOX.
