SVR-2000 as video playback

I have a SVR-2000 Series 1 Tivo. I don't have a remote. What I'm trying to do is use the Tivo and a video camera playback for recording pitching mechanics. I do not need the subscription. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

Yes, it's possible with a remote, but we don't have instructions. You just have to connect the camera as you would a cable box and set a manual recording when you want to record.
