  • Software update

    I just bought a refurbished/upgraded Directv Tivo unit from WeaKnees and it does not have the latest software version (I think its 6.4). Instead it has 6.3f. I've forced a call to try to update the software but nothing is working. This means there is no deleted shows folder or clipping option. Anything I can do?

    A few phone calls should do it, and be sure it has access to the SAT cables and the phone line at all times. Within a few days, you should have the update.

      Its been 3 weeks with access to SAT cables and phone lines. How much longer do I give it?

          I have one in my bedroom that was disconnected for almost a month during the period that the software was being upgraded, and it has now been reconnected for almost 5 months and still no update. Several calls to DTV have not produced any results.

            You should be sure that you have it connected to a phone line. That's pretty surprising.
