Can I watch what's on my playlist when my tivo is only connected to my television? I just got a directv dvr to replace my series 2 so I could use two tuners and I still have recorded shows on it. I connected my tivo to another television (no connection to network)using the coax cable and it didn't work. How do I set this up? I don't want it to get programming, I only want to watch what I've already recorded.Please help!

What model is it? What doesn't work about it - do you see any video on-screen? Did you cancel the subscription?Been here a long time . . . -
It's a Tivo Series 2 model# TCD649080. Nothing is happening. It shows power but I can't get a welcome screen on any channel. Subscription is still active. I moved it to another room and don't know how I want to set it up due to no phone line in that room. So, in the mean time I thought I could just watch my recordings.Comment

If you are stuck on powering up, then you have a problem with the unit. It is likely a bad hard drive.Comment

Then it has nothing to do with the phone line. Try other video connections between your TiVo and your TV.Been here a long time . . .Comment

Naturally, you can't watch your recordings unless/until you have it connected correctly to the TV. I guess I am misunderstanding the issue.Comment
