I have a Series 2 TCD140060 that has been acting up for the last couple of months. It keps restarting once in a while so I thought that I may have a 250GB Instacake drive going bad. So I purchaced a Western Digital 500GB Caviar SE drive to replace the drive. I have tried multiple times and multiple ways IE instacake and copying the old drive via hinsdale but I cannot get the TIVO to boot up compleatly with the 500GB drive. It gets to just a few more minutes and then restarts. I have tried code 56, 57, and 58 restarts with no luck. The instacake I am using was downloaded 10/14/2007. I am not even sure if the problem is the drive or if it is the power supply but I would like to get the 500GB drive to boot up and see if I still have the random restart problem. Anyone have any ideas about how I could get this drive to work?
