  • Networking Problem With Tivo Hd3

I set up my network so that I could axess my tivo from my computer in order to record programs. When I transfer non HD programs the quality of the program is fine however when I attempt to transfer HD programs I notice that the audio drops out and there is also a problem with audio sync.
Has anybody experienced the same problem? When I called Tivo they suggested it was either my windows media player or my Verizon router causing the problem. Please let me know if anyone has seen this problem and if there is a fix.

    Thank you

We haven't seen that, but if you have a problem on the computer but not on the TiVo, it could be the throughput of your hard drive, or the speed of your CPU. Is your system old? Is your drive pretty fragmented?

The System is about 3 years old and I recently defragmented the drive. I was thinking about getting a new system which would be dedicated to my home theater entertainment.

My guess is that that would do the trick. Further, you may even have some drive problems in the PC.
