  • No Video on Second Tuner

I just bought a new Series 2 last night at Best Buy. While trying to set it up I am getting the No Video error on the second tuner. I am able to see the upper channels (HBO etc.) from the cable box (Time-Warner) and the lead that comes straight out of the wall, through the splitter, and into the coaxial connection is just not working. Is there a setting somewhere that activates that input? Any ideas?

During setup, it should ask you to confirm video there.

If you plug that cable directly into your TV, does it get video? It may be that all cable channels are now digital in your area.

It did ask me but I could never get it to display a picture. I went upstairs and pluged the cable straight into the TV upstairs (which will not take a digital channel) and it was fine. I have not tried to do that downstairs just because of how difficult it is to get to the back of the TV.

If it is a digital signal does that mean I can only use one tuner?

It sounds like it isn't a digital signal, so you should probably just run setup again, and check your connections carefully.
